Its funny to hear people say "B - school". Think about it. The age group is diverse in this entity, apart from the fact that its a post graduate program. Preoccupied with the learning curve, the word 'school' does not in any way overshadow the "B". The introduction of this letter brings to the environment a hedonistic combination of professionalism, innovation, experience, knowledge sharing and yes... the occasional (formal?) riff raff amongst a handful of individuals.
Being part of the same campus I spent the last 4 years of my student life hasn't really kept the familiarity factor running strong. Yeah, it IS known to me but engineering was a completely different take. Management is another dimension. It's like having the same cuisine for the next meal but with different dishes. Preferences and thoughts change with tastes.
It's only been two days that I've attended @ Somaiya (in the past 6 days) thanks to a weekend off and yesterday being Independence Day. Today is Janmashthami. Thats another holiday. Enjoy it while you can they say... there's a lot waiting around the corner. On the other hand, Dalmia students stuck to their routine of a full time 6 day week, celebrating their freedom attending lectures. A beneficial point mind you because it pays off later. Big time.
So when will the workload go haywire? When will the students start cribbing and muttering expletives under their breath as they head home with a bulk of project assignments due before their favoured time? Or is it that people take it in their stride? Slap on a smile and mirthfully dive into the multitasking domain?
