Human Equation

--- " A synergistic meeting ground for corporates, students and academia as a part of our ongoing quest for excellence and perfection. "

That was the theme for the HR event held @ SIMSR this part Saturday. I volunteered for the event and eventually got categorised as an Escort. We had with us some esteemed corporates, let me name a few of them..

  • Conrad Saldanha ( Times Of India )
  • Keith D' Souza ( VP of HR @ Wockhardt Ltd. )
  • Mohnisha Advani ( CEO, Emmay HR Services Ltd. )
  • Khusru Ragina ( National Training Head @ Nicholas Piramal )
  • Parag Pandey ( Head HR, Accenture )
  • Ashish Srivastava ( Vice President HR @ HSBC )
  • Girish Salvi ( Regional Business Manager, Manpower Consultants )
  • Alok Sheopurkar ( Head HR, HDFC Asset Mgmnt Co. )
  • S. K. Dutt ( Head HR, Larsen & Toubro Ltd. )
  • UK Sinha ( Chairman & MD, UTI Securities )
Exhaustive list eh? Oh yea I was the escortfor the HSBC fella (note the BOLD marking!) Nice guy he was... I had gone to the Fort office on Thursday to give him a formal invite for the event. Kickass office they have there, these HSBC people... good exposure.

At the end of it all I felt good to have been a part of it all. All escorts were dressed in formal attire - the college 'uniform' ... navy blue blazer, grey trousers, a white shirt and red tie... doesn't sound very appealing I know. Too many colours for dress code.
