Point of Parity

Something special that one product has over all others within a specific category.

It seems Fender guitar strings do have something special. ( I'm too lazy to figure out the technical stuff ) Out of the 6 strings on a guitar, the Indian manufacturers usually wind the last four of the lot.

However today while installing the new Fender strings @ Sardar Flute, the store fella observed that only the last three had the 'wound coil' format. Then he muttered something about that being a good thing, the fact that string #3 was not in fact, wound like the following three.

It sounded good when I came home and set it up. My guitar is revitalised with a new ingredient - a far effective one than earlier.

Point of Difference is something special. POP is what you expect of the brand to have, to be a part of a certain category
