Khichdi Of This Stuff Called Ghajini

Ho hum
Where to begin
Seems this one's the kind,
That'll make it to ....

No one will deny the hype created before the release. Yes, that includes those skinhead chaps at the movie halls. That Tamil flick, the Memento movie clip;people took a shot at what they thought what turn out of the mix. Ugh. So its about this chap who's suffering from a short term memory loss (Quite nauseating if you ask me, to imagine the thought of being placed in that precarious position) and is out to avenge his wife's murder.

There's not much to talk about really, when it comes to the film's 'review'. I'm disappointed. Kinda put off by the lackadaisical outcome of the movie. Ok, yea, there were notions when it was getting somewhere but there were several more times when it was losing its way. Logic defying instances were aplenty - Aamir's seemingly superhuman display of resilience, a plot based and named after a blockhead of a baddy, sheer ignorance of the masses to slip the identity of a top notch businessman and a swinging storyline to add to it all.

A few pleasantries though, in the overall taste. Great background score. Even if the dance numbers came out of the blue, the actual compositions were all catchy if not gripping. A distinct variance in camerawork, crisp sound output and impressive lighting for some takes added minute but critical support for the film. It won't add up to the required frontend performance though because this is all the paraphernalia baggage that's taken for granted. Anyhow, it may carry well for Rahman through audio sales but I don't see much for the rest. Show stealer being the Guzarish track, which I believe is one of the few things that may draw audiences to run to the theatres. Apart from the "Aamir Khan starrer" tag.

And it's definitely not a UA film is it? What was all that violence for? Spotted a handful of kids frozen with big gaping mouths at the much exaggerated fights. Terribly violent. Atrocious.

Turnout ROI? ....Or RIP ?
