Dressed For The Occasion

Was invited to a Pot Luck Party last night. My mom's outta town so I had to think even harder of something I could take along. Then it struck me.

Salad.
Easy to prepare and very flexible in terms of composition. That's just what I needed.

Ran downstairs to the market and bought some veggies for the salad; picked up a Thousand Island bottle as well - one of a kind when it comes to dressing. 3 lemons too.
Got home and prepared the dish in 45 min [ with a vital helping hand from my dad]. My first attempt at a full fledged salad turned out quite nice. Tangy taste.

Damn proud of it. Here's a picture..

wow amol! really nice.. u know u should become a food writer/ columnist.. u would be really good at it! :) esp. considering the number of food-related entries u have on ur blog.. and they always make me hungrrrry!

i had the waldorf salade at the sassanian boulangerie yesterday
u should hear some people say the word
we picked up this cool noisy annoying toy hammer from fashion street
used it to get a waiter and fast service
salads there arent great
have the chicken farchha
or buy their butterscotch and shrewsbury biscuits
im a fan

fingerlickin' superb...not that i ate with my fingers, but it would've been worth it....
