Suttah Le Gaya

Recognition was always waiting to creep upon the Pakistani group, Zeest. It was only a matter of time before they struck gold.

The first single, called Beh**Ch** Suttah (yes thats censored) was released in Sept. 2005 and within a span of 21 days the band had statistics boasting 8,000 downloads. There isnt' a remote chance of scouting for it on the local FM stations or even MTV and Channel [V] ; once you know how the lyrics go. But local pubs have been playing it regularly, much to our pleasure.

This post probably got you wondering "Why Zeest all of a sudden?" ... the fact is this morning in the HT newspaper there was an article called "Play the f****** music", which shed light on the bands popularity through BCS ( the song).

Underground bands need some publicity at times for all the talent they possess.

Cheers!

Tanay is jus pure mad. Plz excuse him Miss\Mr. Anonymous.

The song is sexaad...the guitar is awesum, and the strength in the voice is there for all to hear.

Wonder why the Indian rock bands are not as big as Paki bands...

Strings, Jal, Fuzon, Junoon and more...they r hitting MTV and V in a big way, and have been doin so for some time now.

Never seen a Zero vdo, I think they have made better music than ne other Indian band, after Indus Creed. Just seen 2 vdos of Parikrama. Euphoria hardly makes rock oriented music, neway they have dissapeared. Who else???

I think it's *partly* coz Bollywood and the music it produces overpowers the desi music scene in India. Pakistan's urban arts/music scene has absolutely no competition or influence from Lahore-based Lollywood, and so the original/good stuff they make actually gets 'out there' and appreciated.
