Saw the movie today, and the first thing that caught my attention was the disclaimer added before the movie rolled into the initial scenes.
After all the outcries, the board has sanctioned such a paltry note at the beginning that it'd probably stir up another controversy regarding the way the issue has been handled. You may agree with me on that.
The film moves along at a fast pace during the first half, so one has got to keep a track of things through out the half. The scene opens with Sauniere running down the Gallery corridor, Silas in hot pursuit. Silas is awesome in the movie, his character was well illustrated. A little remniscent of a Jedi knight was his attire (especially that hood) along with the eye contacts.
It was exciting throughout the first half, no doubt about that -- although I felt Sophie was shown in the book to be a hardcore cryptographer who'd be able to solve nething nehow. But it wasn't really shown that way. Chalega, that's the difference between books and movies.
Overall I'll say it was a good movie, definitely worth a watch for those who've read the book.

definitely worth a watch for those who've read the book.....
but for those who haven't read the book, things r confusing and pretty fast..... u'll keep wondering abt that teacher and silas,as to y they killed,etc.,etc.....
anyway, the point is that books r always better than these movies.... but overall, this movie was pretty good and characters fit in very well.....

this time no post on your post but a comment on your post, so to comment and keep it short is very tough and against my reputation, so a simple comment has to be interwoven with nonsense in such a manner that the comment remains short but actually is big, big not in content of the comment but in the content of the nonsense.
YA gud MOVIE, SILAS And TEACHer both were GUD descripton from book.......and ur POst really
justifies everything that will come to a mind of person who has watched DA VINCI code, but u must add a disclaimer for those who have not watched the movie , as i should have attached a disclaimer before the start of the comment.
