Yea, you say.. supermarket only na? Well ..this one has a first floor too. Go see it to believe it.

Floor space is HUMONGOUS. And its all well laid out, leaving not even the slightest chance of a bottleneck. Damn, you can even buy furniture there! Not to mention sports equipment, home entertainment (even the PS2 is on display for you gamers), clothing, furniture and what not ...apart from digicams and MP3 players.


I love the Food section which is now a more convenient shopping experience. First, yank off a plastic pouch from the stand placed at the section. Then pack your veggies and fruits , move over to the weighing counter and get the goods sealed by department employees. All done. A regular feature seen in the United States.

There's a "travellator" ( I think thats what it's called) which is basically a 30 degree inclined horizontal escalator to the first floor. What? The trolley ? What about it? Ohh.. it may roll back on the travellator eh? Fret not my friend, its all been thought of. Rubber stoppers on the trolley wheels are designed to fit along the grooves of the steel moving platform. Fits like a glove. Once the trolley is on it, there's no slipping. In fact it doesn't budge at all. Marvellous.

Although, something went unchecked. Or maybe overlooked is a better substitute.
Parking. Every consumer wants the facility ready with a mall. Look at Inorbit's parking space, boasting of a 1500 car capacity -- surely one of the factors that helped it get the award for ICICI Mall of the Year 2005. But maybe the common builder funda means that space will be shared. As of now, parking in the Hypercity compound remains a tricky task.
