Perfect. Last night after the Germany -- Argentina clash, I didn't expect a gruelling face off for the remaining quarter finals. I was wrong. Excluding Italy, the other two matchups proved to be action packed, showcasing lots of tense moments and great skills.
Maybe Portugal did display some cheap plays and full credit to England for holding back their opponents after losing Rooney early. With no player providing a breakthrough, the game went on into extra time where again the goalies had little work to do. The penalties worked out in Portugals favour and voila! It was celebrated as the Portuguese's long awaited entry to a World Cup semi final, their last being in 1966.
France -- Brazil wasn't a scorcher. Surely not in the first half. On many occasions one observed mistakes from both parties, shuffling the possession percentage breakup time to time. However with an accurately targeted free kick from the left flank by the evergreen Zizou, Henry tapped in the feed easily. The Brazilians had left the Arsenal striker unmarked. Tsk tsk. That's a hefty price to pay.
Thereafter the Brazilians were running helter skelter, attempting to grasp the most minuscule of chances that seemed to provide an equaliser. All in vain.
Brazil is out. No more fucking saamba crap.

I must say, i'm v. impressed by the timeliness of this post. France and Germany in the final i think. Zidane has once again proved his mettle on the greatest stage of all...the world cup.

There is an error in your post. This is not Portugal's first World Cup Semi-Final. They reached the Semis in 1966 with Eusebio's team.
They finished 3rd that year.

the post is good, but u have no FUCKING right to insult one of the greatest teams in this world (they may be short of form right now) i mean BRAZIL, they are FOOTBALL and FOOTBALL is brazil, U cant expect them to perform every single time, after all they are not gods , they are humans and to err is human.
People have lot of expectattions from Them, ZIDANE was not even able to barely play during knockout stages, its just that he came up during last 2 matches, DID u ITALY , they are back in form, never say anything BAD about a team cause it just failed to live up to its level

firstly most of the ppl only follow two teams brazil (south american whores) and the england (most hyped mother fuckers thier wives would play beter football)
the only team which played real and pure football even if they lost was Argentina
yes the teams which have reached the finals italy and france are the most underrated but i from a neutral point of view i hope
the mafia VS the lovers give us a worldcup final to remember
