We're having a Sports Tournament in college.
Cricket, football and volleyball are the three games being played, with all the classes gathering their best for the test. We started our football match day before yesterday and won it. It was 1 - 0 to our rivals with 10min to go and we got one in at the right time. At the penalty shootouts, it was 1-0 to us. MMS A sailed through to round 2.
Today was our second matchup, one that was slated to be a lot tougher. We were up against last years' champions -- PG (B) seniors. It started off alright and suddenly we clinched the lead with a goal in the 1st half. We held on thereafter but in the 2nd half, we misjudged a free kick that was directed straight at the goal. Had we not interfered with the ball's trajectory, it would have been declared as a dead ball. So 1 - 1.
During overtime we failed another. Out of the blue, one of the strikers came up and speared one through the goal. Sealed.
Still, we did have lots of fun. And our volleyball team is sure to crack it, considering the speed at which its finishing the opposition.
