Outta Nowhere

This morning a few of us went to the IOCL office @ Bandra (E) for a potential Summer Placement.

Nice office and reaaaalllyy great food.

When I sat for the interview, it was Mr. Nilesh who did the questioning. A bloke in his late 30's or early 40's from what I gathered, he started off on a good note ( literally ) ---- music. At least 5-7 min of my 18min interview ( as clocked by classmates outside ) was spent talking about music, bands, the various concerts being planned and yes... it included Green Day too.

I was sitting there for a corporate interview and he was asking questions like --

• " Which was the other band involved in a recent Green Day song release? "
• " What other album other than American Idiot do you find appealing ? "
• " Is the new song an original compilation or a cover?"

And while we're on the subject of music, he even used lingo like .... "Do you and your bandmates still find time to jam? "

Not to forget that as soon as I mentioned punk as my favourite style of music, he spat out names like The Ramones, The Clash, The Sex Pistols...

Wow. I was so thrilled to start the conversation with that topic. The rest of the interview was good.

Maybe he's a music buff too. Great...rock on!!
