Nitpicking For Adaptation

This is a thesis, obtained from general feeds of a first experience.

Knowns and unknowns play a crucial part in our daily activities, determining outcomes with the help of decisions based on probabilities. Under this head, we can categorize our probabilities on how well we get along with people that matter. People that in turn, determine your outcomes at work whilst facing a similar scenario themselves.

How does it unfold when you meet someone for the first time?

Formal talk, introductions.. what's that? where you from? Ohh.. my brother was there for a while.. yes. Nice city in fact. No, this company wasn't my first preference. I've always wanted IT. How about you? Oh.. you've always wanted telecom huh? Good going.

And other such chit chat.

Everythings fine and running smooth until the living together part comes in. Living with unknown people is a big challenge. Remember, respect is a mutual thing and it pays to provide some space on that front. Roomies often gel on discovering commonalities in random things and clash for the itsy-bitsy specks. Lifestyles and opinions are the biggest barriers that can't be confronted. If you follow a certain way of doing things, I am no one to question it because I have the my own approach to matters. The slight irritation of this equations nags for a while which is why self control is vital.

Slowly, you gauge what you can expect and what you cannot in the scheme of things. It becomes easier thereafter. You know your scope of operations. So do your colleagues. And its better (and tougher) when people around you are from varied backgrounds. Always good to know how others do things - forget wrong or right.

The graph I wanted to illustrate is random. By no means is it substantiated or quantified with strong numbers but its an intuitive flow that I've generated from the past 3 months. Steady trip at a time when there are only 12 days left after which we'll be spreading out elsewhere. Tough luck.

Just when it was getting better.

Hm, don't want to sound cynical, but I wonder how much of the 'steady trip' is BECAUSE there are only 12 days to go...

Or were you being sarcastic when you said "Just when it was getting better." ?!
