Out Of This Gate

Training is over, I thought to myself. Three months gone. Just like that.

I threw in 4 pairs of socks into the suitcase and glanced at the laptop screen, having forgotten the next song on the playlist. Music is good when you're doing non exciting tasks. Packing a suitcase isn't boring but today had been a long long day. Just then, the lights went out. Power cut. Great, I thought. Two suitcases open and a lot of things lying around. I scrolled back to the start of the day...

Last day for Network training and none of us felt like indulging in any more. But we had a site visit today. So we assembled at the networks office at 10am sharp and got a site visit planned for a couple of hours. We went to the main office after that.

Starting with the Marketing dept., we moved in a huddle from one cubicle to the next, meeting our guides. It went something like this -

Us : Hello! Todays our last day and we wanted to say goodbye and thanks for the blah blah..
Them : Oh yes, which circles are you off to?
U : 2 @ Tamilnadu, 1 @ Gujarat and 2 of us @ Corporate.
T : That's great. I'm sure you'll be learning a lot there. Keep in touch.

And so, given the few added lines unique to each respondent, we had our interactions complete. We took a few pics to add to the feeling of that 'last day'.

Nice stint. Great experience.

Goodbye Delhi. Farewell to my dear momos.

Oh, whaddya know... the power's back on. Back to my packing.
