Many people prefer an omlette as opposed to scrambled eggs. I prefer the latter. However, to prepare either of the two the egg-crackin' part is one thing most find a little frustrating. Count me in.
There's always this slight pause before you attempt to crack the egg open. Too hard a hit can bring dreadful results - the insides just oozing out all over your hands followed by a fatal fall to the floor and there you are gritting your teeth. A soft tap isn't very productive either ; you're just back to square one. And of course the ideal spot to make your mark is to be kept in mind. Somewhere along the midpoint of the egg I would say, considering that the egg is held with its longer axis kept horizontal.

yes ...Definately.. Scrambled eggs is all in the favor. the only times have omlet is in the restaurent or when prepared by mom.
and yes... whenever try to venture in the kitchen and eggs are on the menu, the egg shell has to fall in the pan...and then burn my fingers..without FAIL!
