Flying In The Wind

My umbrella.

I was sitting still and yanking the rod to keep the wind from gushing in and pulling it upward and out of my hands. My shirt sleeves were drenched, that being the only part of me completely soaked. Playing the role of a pillion rider with heavy rain is tough stuff. VS rode carefully. Two things - the weather itself restricted us to a slower speed than otherwise but he took extra care, knowing very well that I was hanging on to the black water shield in the (faint) hope that I would emerge surprisingly dry at the end of the ride.

Keeping the stick as low as possible did help reducing the area exposed to the wind that was hitting us head on whilst protecting my bag too, which had my laptop. The funny thing is, I don't tend to catch a lift with someone back home, forget traveling by bikes. Just today I had chosen to do so on account of a lack of company via the train route. Haha.. and look how I paid for it. A rainy spell at the perfect time had spelled it out for me -- rotten luck.

It was fun all the same.. a different kinda experience.
